8. Visit castles of the Loire Valley.
The Loire Valeey is famous for its
ancient castles. There are Amboise, Chenonceau, Chambord, Chartres, Chaumont,
Blois, where you may plunge into the atmosphere of medieval period.
The roofs of the Chambord Castle were compared with fairytale bridal chamber. It was built for King Francis the I and it is still astonished not only because of its size, but by innovation of architecture.
The Chenonceau Castle, which is also known as the Lady Castle, which has indissoluble ties with such well-known figures in history as: Catherine de Medici, Diane de Peitiers, George Sand.. Chenonceau Castle is unique because of its location on the water.
The royal castle of Amboise, which
was built by Karl the VIII, played an important role in the history of French
kings. The remains of Leonardo da Vinchi are buried in the chapel of this castle.
