Welcome to Finnish Lapland!

   Finnish Lapland is the Far North country and it is assumed by many north connoisseurs as the most interesting part of Finland.

   Lapland holds out from northern Baltic through the great and beautiful woods, which get thinner where landscape is more mountainous. Sami, the native people of Lapland, live in this region.

   In Rovaniemi you can go to a very interesting museum, which can tell you a lot about the unique culture of this small nation. Rovaniemi is the capital of Lapland and it’s the biggest town, which is crossed by Polar Circle, and exactly here the residence of the most popular inhabitant of Lapland is living - Santa Claus. Here you can meet Santa Claus, make photo with him in his cave and visit Santa’s park. It is an unforgettable pass time for children!

   Tourists may find accommodations here for all tastes and preferences. There are many warm, comfortable and modern hotels in Lapland, beautiful wooden houses and chalet. If you are hungry you may visit wonderful restaurants, where you can taste local delicacies cuisine, as rain deer meat, fresh fish and exotic cranberry dishes.
   Levi’s resort. In the most northern part of the country, just behind the Polar Circle, quite popular resort in Finland, which is called - Levi is situated. It is open the whole year and combines the Sami exotic, comfortable accommodation and high-quality service. Levi is the biggest, most modern and developed resort of Finland and northern Scandinavia. It is situated in the western Lapland, not for away from Swedish border, along the foot of the Levintunturi volcano (531 meters high), surrounded by pine woods, rivers, lakes and volcanoes. Because of the warm current Gulfstream the weather here differs from the other Finnish regions – the winter is very warm and snowy. The average temperature in January is -14 degrees and a snow cover can be 8 meters high.

   The main advantage of Levis is modern and comfortable infrastructure, right beside the skiing hillsides. The infrastructure of this resort is well-developed: 10 minutes on foot from hotels and houses and you will find: mountain courses and up-chutes for those who like winter-sport activities, health and sports spa center, restaurants and bars, including après-ski, supermarket, pharmacy, liquor shop and sport shops. Levi is an official skiing center of Santa Claus. Оn Christmas eve  there are many events and programs near the beautiful Christmas tree, where everybody may take part in this amazing celebration.
