    If you want to plunge into the wonderful world of shopping, without doubts go to Hungary! Here you can find not only stores with well-known brands, but also find a lot of small shops that may offer you a great variety of Hungarian goods: porcelain, crystal, lace napkins, national table cloths, costumes and puppets, leather purses and bags, T-shirts with the Hungarian symbols, antique things, souvenirs and many other interesting and beautiful things. Also as for yourself and as for gifts, you may choose the famous Hungarian paprika, goose liver, salami «Pick», traditional Hungarian vodka «Palinka» or homemade wine.




  In Hungary from January to February and from August to October is a period of sales.      Among the budget supermarkets where you can buy groceries, we would like to point out such shopping malls and supermarkets as: Auchan, the address is: Dunakeszi, Nádas u. 6. Working hours: Mon. - Sat 06.00 - 22.00, Sun. 07.00 - 20.00. You may get there by free shuttle bus, which departs every hour from Heroes' Square and in 25 minutes you will stop at the water park «Aquaworld». So you even may take swimsuit and combine shopping with pleasure.
      Mammut – is a supermarket, which is located on the Buda side of the city, which allows you to combine the visit with a tour of historic monuments and shopping. The address is: Nagyajtai út. 4 / a, II region, Buda. Working hours: Mon. - Sat. 10:00 - 21:00, Sat. 10:00 - 18:00.
 

Also such supermarket chain, which is located almost everywhere: Kaiser's, Spar and Match. And the German supermarket chain: Aldi, Penny and Lidl. Many supermarkets and private shops can work on Sunday, and often are open for 24 hours, in front of such shops you will see the table «Ejjeli-nappali».

     Besides the shopping centers and supermarkets in Budapest there are many markets: «Kozponti Vasarcsarnok» (Central Market) – is located in the heart of the city, which was built in 1897 by architect Samu Petz, the follower of the famous Eiffel. In 1994, the market building was restored, and now the building is still beautiful as it was 100 years ago. The address is: Fovam tér, IX region. Working hours: Mon. 06:00 - 17:00, Sat. - Fri 6:00 - 18:00, Sat: 06:00 - 14:00, and on Sundays the market is closed.

      Flea Market
«Echeri» (Esceri Flea Market) - is the largest flea market in Budapest. At the beginning of the mid XIX century, the market several times changed its location. Market takes its name from the 60-ies of XX century. Although the street Ecseri is not the address of the market, it still bears the old name. That’s why the change of market location is often called the «Tango». You may buy some items for a few thousand forints, but do not forget about the precious things, that you may also find in the market. The address is: Nagykorosi út. 156.
