Metro in Budapest.

     Metro in Budapest is - the oldest in Europe. The building of the metro began in 1880. May 2, 1896 Metro started its work. The original name of the metro is known as Feldalatti. The Budapest Metro is the third in the world after London and Chicago, and the first on the European continent.

    Metro in Budapest consists of 3-metro lines. All lines cross in the center of the city in the Square Deak (Deáktèr). The yellow line (M1) is mostly held under Andrássy street and runs from the square Vörösmarty (Vörösmarti tèr) to street Meksikoi (Mexikoi út). The red line (M2) runs from east to west between the town square Ruff Vezeyr (Örs Vezèr tèr) and South Station (Dèli pu). The blue line (M3) runs from Kőbánya-Kispest (Kőbá nya-Kispest) to Ujpest (Újpest).  The interval of movement between trains on weekdays is from 2 to 3 minutes, on weekends is from 4 to 10 minutes. The working hours of the metro are from 4.30 to 23.00
